Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk (/vɪˈjə˞/ /ʤɪnk/ [reverse] [series]) is a temperate Town located in the Temryont Principality of the City-state of Soheque.

The name Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk is derived from the Gnollish language, as Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was founded by Brêpîga vyim Roxlendrusg, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk has a yearly average temperature of 3°C (37°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 10°C (50°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -3°C (27°F). Overview

Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1271, by Brêpîga vyim Roxlendrusg. The establishment of Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk's construction back out of the project. Brêpîga vyim Roxlendrusg pushed on reguardles, and Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk is buildings have been located at convienant points along the mountain Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the broad cobblestone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The town's top tier civilian fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century several years of heavy rains culminated in a peculiar disaster. A great hole opened up beneath Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk, swallowing large sections of the community. Mäpt Vïyá-jïnk lost 230 people, 205 livestock, and 28 buildings in the disaster. This disaster is often refereed to as The Anguish Swallowing.
